Andrew Garfield and Monica Barbaro drew attention with a warm courtside appearance at Wimbledon 2026.
Andrew Garfield and Monica Barbaro returned to Wimbledon together this year, and their affection in the stands became one of the tournament’s most talked-about moments. The rumored couple spent day six at the Ralph Lauren suite, where their body language drew more attention than either star has ever given the relationship in public.
The pair have been linked since early 2025. They have stayed private the whole time, so the Wimbledon 2026 outing gave fans a rare look at the two together.
On Saturday, July 4, Garfield and Barbaro sat in the Ralph Lauren suite at Centre Court for day six of the Championships. According to People, the two exchanged kisses on the cheek while they watched the matches. They were seated near Anna Wintour, Tom Hiddleston, Joel Edgerton, and Zachary Hart.
Garfield, 42, wore a light blue Ralph Lauren shirt and trousers. He arrived with longer hair and a fuller beard, which drew plenty of comment online. Barbaro, 36, wore an all-white Ralph Lauren outfit with black sunglasses and strappy sandals.
The moment carried extra weight because of the timing. Us Weekly noted that the appearance came almost exactly one year after the two first stepped out together at the 2025 tournament, which makes Wimbledon a repeat setting for the couple.
Neither star has formally confirmed the relationship. Garfield told Esquire in 2024 that he has never spoken about his personal life and does not plan to, a position he has held for years.
The two first sparked speculation in February 2025, when they were seen at a West End performance of Richard II in London. Since then, as reported by the Sunday Guardian, they have appeared together at Hollywood events, casual outings, and while running errands, but they have not made any public statement.
Their work is set to overlap too. Just Jared reported that Garfield and Barbaro star together in the upcoming film Artificial, which has kept both names in entertainment headlines.
Barbaro has had a strong run of her own. She earned her first Academy Award nomination for playing folk singer Joan Baez in the Bob Dylan biopic A Complete Unknown. That role followed her breakout as fighter pilot Phoenix in Top Gun: Maverick. She is next set to appear in an Ocean’s Eleven prequel with a large ensemble cast.
Garfield remains a fan favorite for his role in The Amazing Spider-Man and continues to take on dramatic work alongside bigger studio films. The two move in the same industry, and their repeated Wimbledon appearances point to shared interests as well as attraction.
Much of the interest comes from how quiet the couple have stayed. They keep showing up together and looking comfortable, without confirming anything. At a tournament known for its low-key elegance, that approach fit the setting.
Garfield and Barbaro’s Wimbledon 2026 appearance still gave fans plenty to talk about, from their affectionate moments to a full year of showing up at the same event as a pair.
